Why choose Artisan Photographics?

What makes your approach different?
We combine thoughtful planning with an easy, unobtrusive approach on the day itself. We’ll step in with direction when it’s helpful, then give you room to enjoy what’s happening naturally. The goal is beautiful photographs without turning your celebration into a photo shoot.
How would you describe your photography style?
Our style blends timeless portraiture with documentary storytelling. We create polished, beautifully composed portraits while also watching for the spontaneous expressions, relationships, and unexpected moments that make each celebration personal.
How far in advance should we book?
As soon as you know your date, we recommend reaching out—especially for weddings and popular weekend dates. Some dates book many months in advance, while others may remain available closer to the event. If your celebration is coming up soon, it’s always worth asking.
Have you photographed at our venue before?
Do you photograph celebrations beyond weddings?
Absolutely. In addition to weddings, we photograph engagements, quinceañeras, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, anniversaries, same-sex celebrations, and other meaningful events. Whatever you’re celebrating, our approach remains the same: thoughtful photography centered on the people and moments that matter.
PLANNING & BOOKING
How do we reserve our date?
Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll prepare your agreement and booking information. Your date is officially reserved once the signed agreement and required retainer have been received. Until then, the date remains available to other clients.
What is required to book?
To officially reserve your date, we require a signed photography agreement and the required retainer. Once both are received, your date is secured and we can begin planning the details of your celebration.
Can we meet before booking?
Absolutely. We’re happy to meet with you before you make a decision. It’s an opportunity to talk about your celebration, what matters most to you, and how we approach photographing the day. Meetings can be arranged in person or virtually, depending on what works best for everyone.
What if we live out of town or can’t meet in person?
No problem. Many of the details can be handled by phone, email, or video call. We’ll stay connected throughout the planning process so distance never gets in the way of being prepared for your celebration.
Do you travel for weddings and celebrations?
Yes. We’re happy to travel for weddings and celebrations throughout Florida and beyond. Travel requirements and any associated costs depend on the location and event details, and we’ll discuss those with you clearly before booking.
Can we add additional coverage or overtime?
Yes. If you decide you need additional coverage, let us know as early as possible and we’ll make the necessary arrangements. If your celebration runs longer than planned, additional coverage may also be available on the day, subject to photographer availability and the terms of your agreement.
What happens if we need to cancel or reschedule?
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your celebration, contact us as soon as possible. We’ll review the circumstances, our availability, and the terms of your photography agreement with you so you clearly understand the options available.
YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS
Do you deliver every photograph you take?
We carefully curate the photographs from your celebration and deliver the strongest images that tell the story of your day. Test shots, duplicates, blinks, missed expressions, and images that don’t meet our standards are removed during the selection process.
How are our photographs edited?
Every delivered photograph receives professional color and tonal adjustments, along with careful attention to exposure, contrast, cropping, and overall consistency. Our goal is a polished, timeless collection that still looks and feels natural.
Do you retouch our photographs?
Yes, when appropriate. We make subtle refinements while keeping you looking like yourself. More extensive retouching or image manipulation can also be discussed when requested and may involve an additional fee.
Will we receive both color and black-and-white photographs?
Your collection may include both color and black-and-white photographs. We choose black and white when we feel it strengthens the mood, emotion, or composition of an image rather than simply creating a duplicate version of every photograph.
How long will it take to receive our photographs?
Delivery time varies depending on the type of celebration and the time of year. We’ll provide an expected delivery timeframe for your event and keep you informed throughout the process.
How will we receive our photographs?
Your finished photographs are delivered through a private online gallery where you can view, download, and share your images. Any additional products included with your collection will be provided according to your photography agreement.
Can we print our photographs ourselves?
Yes. Your delivered high-resolution photographs include personal printing rights, allowing you to make prints for yourself, family, and friends. Artisan Photographics retains the copyright to the images.
POLICIES & PRACTICAL DETAILS
Are our photographs backed up?
Yes. We take the protection of your photographs seriously and maintain multiple copies of your image files throughout the editing and delivery process. We also encourage clients to make their own backups after downloading their finished photographs.
Does Artisan Photographics carry liability insurance?
Yes. Artisan Photographics carries liability insurance, and documentation can be provided to venues when required.
Who owns the copyright to our photographs?
Artisan Photographics retains the copyright to the photographs we create. Your delivered images include personal-use rights, allowing you to download, share, and print them for yourself, family, and friends.
